I have finally broken down and decided to fuel The Man's cause by getting a job. I need the money and college starts up at the end of the month. *epic sigh* Still haven't gotten my books yet either...
So I got an application from Barnes N Noble, since there's a new one opening near me, and I decided to fill the thing out as soon as I could. And I decided to do it by myself. Bad idea... The following is a re-telling of how my first job application went.
I sit down at my desk, all happy to be looking for a job when I come to the first question: Name - Easy peasy *scribbles down name*
Second question: Address, City and Zip Code - No problemo
Third question: Social Security Number - alrighty - wait...shit I don't know that one *headdesk* I got to the third question and FAILED. I'm eighteen, I should know my Social Security number shouldn't I? Well, now that I feel stupid and I have an incomplete job app. I just have to wait for my mom to get home so that she can help me. Doesn't that just sound grown up and mature?
"Mother, could you please help your retarded daughter with something she should have known years ago? Oh thank you, Ruler of my Maturity! How shall I ever repay you?"
God I suck...
